Did a lot of searching in the forums but found nothing on the rare '97 Challenger MEPM so just started digging in. The MR2535L diode is just below the 5A fuse where you would expect. Removal of the potting and diode is very easy. I cut the legs at the diode so access to the back of the board is not required. Plenty of room to solder the new diode. I bought 5 off eBay for $15. I may do as another suggested and solder in a holder that allows the diode to be changed without digging into the potting again. BTW, the diode was bad. Hopefully this is the fix.
