Does anybody know how to take out the starter of a 97 challenger 1800. Frankly I'm not even sure where it is. I think it is at the bow end of the engine under the white casing with approx 10 hex bolts that would have to be removed as there is a bulge in the casing where it could be. I can get to the top few bolts but the lower ones seem impossible to reach.

Thanks

Scott

dont you have the 787 motor? you are in the pwc section to btw, but it should not be 10 bolts. Manuals are free online everwere just do a fast google search, but if you have the 787 motor then the starter will be on the side of the motor were the carbs are, under them and to the right side of the flywheel cover you will see it, There will be a positive wire going to in on the middle and then i think 3 or maybe 4 bolts holding it in... been a whiles since i removed mine, but make sure it is your starter and not just a bad soliniod or something else before removing it cause its a pain
