97 challenger 1800 787 engine removal question

Alright so my motor is siezed so i am pulking the motor and have everything disconnected and the mounts unbolted. But i cant slide the motor forward and the shaft wont come out any further. I followed sbts guide and it just says slide forward 4 inches to clear the shaft am i missing something.

Just make it easy on yourself....

1) Remove the clip behind the stainless ring.

2) Remove the pump.

3) slide the shaft out the back.


Besides... you will need to have the pumps off to align the engine anyway.


***EDIT***

do it in the order above. You need the pump in place, to have something for the shaft to push on, to get the stainless ring to move
