Hi, i was just wondering if there is anything my ski that could be killing the rectifier? I recently purchased a new one and had the same problem as before where it would rev up properly until I disconnect the red wire. The reason i ask is when i went to the seadoo dealer the guy said that he has not really had any problems with the wsm rectifier and that its probably something else with my electronics.

I'm just seeing this. If I understand correctly the ski is working fine until you disconnect the red wire which is the wire that goes to the solenoid that charges the battery correct? So if you are disconnecting the battery and the ski runs bad you may have a bad alternator or something wrong with the charging system and the ski is actually running off the battery (maybe :) ) . You may have a bad charging coil or bad connection from the coil. I'd check the grounds first. I use WSM rectifiers but not enough to make a judgement. I do like the price. :) Good Luck.

I think you’ve got a typo in that post. If it’s not revving until you disconnect the rectifier, then you’ve either got a bad one, which does happen even right out of the box, or you’ve got a wiring/stator problem...
