Thats a holder relay. Pretty sure thats what powers up gauges and such wen key is put on post. Supposed to click. What is your actual problem?

You wont hear it click wen start button is pushed. It clicks ‘on’ wen key is put on dess post. What problem are you having with your ski?

Yes but my other buddies got one and when he hits start button on his it doesn’t click like that

Change it out if you don't like the clicking noise, if you're not having an actual issue because of it, what else do you want people to tell you? Functionality wise all relays click, some more than others..

Yes, a relay is just an electromechanical switch, so they click by their very nature. Some are designed to operate quieter than others, but generally speaking, the heavier duty the relay, the louder the audible click.

I have about 4 of these for the 1996/1997 GTX. I fought the electrical system long and hard. I even cut one of these open to see what it looks like in there. :) You need the click when you insert the key. No click... no run. Good Luck.

Open up the rear electrical box by the battery and see if u have battery voltage to starter solenoid. If so, check for voltage out of starter solenoid that goes to starter and see if voltage is present wen hitting the start button.

Ya I will try that today. I am taking motor out cause I have to get some body work done and paint. So I’m gonna try to get it turning over on bench. Is this possible? Or does it have to be in the ski

You mean turning it by hand? Also automotive paint isn't as durable as gelcoat, would recommend doing a gelcoat repair instead.

You should atleast try getting it running or engine turning over before removing. Just from experience. Unless you know condition of engine. Did you just buy the ski?
