Ok here it goes i know the RAVE and what it does new to the ski world so please don't dog me to much . the question is rebuilt the raves with new bellows o rings and still back one leaks oil little but enough to cause smoke in turn bogs my motor at no wake zone speed after that she gets up and runs top maybe the smoke is not reason for bog but i think so ski runs starts idles tits so is the piston like rave and housing shot new is there some slop side to side

my bellows r not melted adjusted the way they should b Whats going on here
i don't want to spend 300 on valves and bodys if i don't need to

Okay your post is really hard to understand, but I'll try to help..

Where is the leak coming from? At the bottom of the bellow's, is there a zip tie or a spring retainer? If not you need to install a 18lb zip tie, I find the 8" one's are easiest to work with.

Are you spring retainers on the top streched out at all? When not installed, they should be fully closed up, if they are streched, replace them.

Hey there im shitty with computers the oil is seeping up past rave piston type valve ,at its pass threw the housing which has to allen bolts i rebuilt bellow, o ring , witch is a bump stop if anything everything is how it should b i wanna say the piston rave valve and its housing r hammered as far as clearance lets say like a valve with bad guide lateral slop exaust blow by should there even b oil in the bellow anyway thanks for reply Jeremy

i have a 1996 xp and my rave valves are always leaking after about one full day of use. for some reason I can't get the "front" one to quit leaking. cant tell exactly where the oil is coming from but the rubber bellow under the black plastic cap is always popped off and out of place, it doesn't seem to want to stay attached, too much pressure?
any help would be appreciated

I can tell you what it is....the shaft on the rave and the housing are wore out. When they leak oil after a complete rebuild and everything is put together correctly.....you are on borrowed time.

When they are that wore, the rave is vibrating ALOT and will eventually lead to this...

My 787 keeps melting the plastic plunger. It's happened twice now, i open the cover, and the boot is popped off a messed up looking plunger with a rave sticking through it. When the raves are worn, do they generate too much heat when they vibrate?? Or am I running too lean on the MAG cylinder?
