96 gtx wiring question

So I was checking the wiring on the gtx tonight and found some wiring errors in the box. The question is the red wire on the rectifier. The wiring diagram looks like it plugs into a red wire on the mpem . I don't have a red wire coming out if my mpem . I have a pink wire that might have been red at one time coming out if the mpem . Is that what I plug the red wire into?

You can download a free service manual and look at the wiring diagram. From memory I think that the red wire on your rectifier will go in the second of three wires that come out of the MPEM. The wires can look pink sometimes.

Something else to consider is that aftermarket MPEM’s do not always have wiring colors that match OEM. You have to take the factory wiring diagram and the diagram for the MPEM and match every wire up...
