96 GTX Starter motor runs continuously

Docked the other day and killed power. Heard a noise coming from engine bay. The starter motor was running continuously until it killed the battery. Took it home, disconnected the battery. Unplugged the starter button. Reconnected the battery. Same issue. Anyone ever had this happen?

Solenoid is stuck and bad. Typically caused by a weak battery and the internal contacts fuse.

I pulled the solenoid and ohmd it and it was closed.

Suggestion, Try to buy an OEM solenoid, if you can find a good one. Otherwise don't go cheap on aftermarket, I went through 2 of these before I got a used OEM. The electronic aftermarket stuff for skis are terrible!
