Need opinions please, just changed wear ring, all pump bearings, seals. Runs much better less cavitation but still when punched from a stop will slightly cavitate catch up and will do this about 5-6 times over a period of 15-20 seconds before running correctly. Everything is sealed and torqued per specs also sealed around shoe. The impeller looked pretty good to me no pits or curls but one blade was slightly worn in the middle enough to not be straight across. Wondering if this could cause this problem. Want to be able to pull kids on board or tube. I have the 110 HP 787 engine had no problems with it...knock on wood...Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Charles

Usually if one goes bad, you will know it. You usually lose most of your thrust. It also would be leaking water in. It doesnt really sound like yours is bad, but to me it is a process of elimination. You have already done the stuff that should fix the problem.

I dont have the leaking problem I just wondered if the slight difference in one blade on the impeller could cause the problem. I know the impeller is 5-6 years old so might go ahead and replace just hate to send the bucks without checking all other possible causes. If I do replace I will replace the carbon ring also. Thanks for your advice.
