My favorite ride. 96 gti.
Put a new wear ring in. Ran all day like a champ. Then my daughter in law took it about 200 yards and it died. Won't start. Not even a click. Battery good. Any help?

Remove your plugs and turn the pto by hand to verify that your motors not locked up.

Ok will do, or will try. Not sure where to find the pto. Showing my ignorance, sorry

Under the plastic cover at the rear of the engine. It is basically a rear flywheel, PTO Power Take Off.

If there’s really not even a click, your solenoid isn’t kicking in. Check the fuses in the electrical box, or the solenoid itself

Yes as above you can jump the solenoid with a screwdriver but verify the engine is not locked up first as it did die on the water while running.

Also turn the motor counterclockwise if standing at the rear of the motor.
