So I am back to my exhaust getting very hot issue. I have tried various things and just cant seem to get the pipe to be cool enough to not melt the hose to the water box. It has a Rossier engineering pipe on it that has a water inlet just above the manifold that is hooked to a water injection system. It has another water inlet after the riser before where the main pipe connects and another water inlet at the rear just before the hose to connect the water box. Im wondering if the pressure from the exhaust is preventing the water from entering the inlet just before the main pipe. I know the water is free flowing through the motor and getting everywhere it should be except into the exhaust to cool it. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

just make sure everything is clear... and it should be cool enough. If you continue to melt couplers, then there is a restriction in the feed water.

Think I figured it out!

Well I took my exhaust all apart for maybe the 5th time. I removed the water inlet fitting on the pipe and there was a small screw in orifice. And what do you know there was a small pebble stuck in it, I removed the pebble checked the others and put it back together. I am going to try it tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks for the input I never thought there would be another orfice because I could blow through it but didnt realize that the riser pipe was a mini water jacket so the air was going through the jacket but not the holeI wanted it to come out of because it was plugged.

Yep... that elbow is a metered orifice. That water goes directly into the pipe to keep things cool. You should be fine... but since you found debris in the cooling system... you should try to blow it out with compressed air, ans there may be more sand/gravel in the system.

Thanks again

Yes I blew the system out and flushed and blew it out again. I will try it today and see if it is better. I will let you all know of my success or failure. Thanks agian for the info and helpful people on this site!!

Success!! The tiny little pebble seemed to be the cause of most of my issues. I ran it a good 3 miles up river at a good clip and stopped popped the seat off and it is warm but I can put my hand on it. Before If I touched it I would have been burnt. NOw I have to work on the speedometer that has no sign of life. And I must have a short somewhere for the temp sensor because I can start up and go but when I let off the buzzer goes off and the temp light comes on. Sometimes it will shut off if I go again but most of the time it stays on. And I know the motor is not hot enough to set it off. Thanks again for the advice and any hints on mt next issues would be helpful.
