I have a 96 seadoo gsx that we just purchased, it had been sitting for a few seasons and has 34 hours on it. The air box going to the carb had a nest in it we cleaned that and the carbs including both filters, replaced all the fuel lines and the selector, put new plugs in drained the old gas and replaced with fresh high test. When we hooked the hose up and ran it it started right up, idles good and seems to rev up properly, but when we put it in water it will not go more than like 5 miles an hour, you can give it full throttle its not missing or sputtering it just wont go??? Any ideas what to try next.
Any help or idea's are greatly appreciated. Marty Burke

well first off dont use high test, those skis were not made to run with high test gas, regular will do just fine. but as far as it "not going" and your saying its running great and revs up well...i would check your wear ring, which is located around the impeller in the jet pump if thats worn badly it could very well cause this.
