96 gsx fuel tank/ sending unit.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to pull the fuel sending unit out of the fuel tank on a 96 gsx without pulling the engine. On the gtx you can slide the tank fwd but it doesn't look like there is enough room to do it on the gsx. Trying to troubleshoot fuel light issue. Thanks for any tips

You have to pull the handlebar mount to get to the sending unit. 4 bolts, the 3 10mm bolts for the steering cable then you can let it flop out of the way just be careful of wires and choke and throttle cable.
