Hi. So I blew up my 787 over the weekend. Giant hole in the block with piston pieces scattered all about the hull. I need a new engine.

Can someone suggest a reliable source for quality rebuilt engines with a warranty? Can I put anything larger in this 96 GSX like a 951? Do I want to rebuild the carbs? Fuel system or anything else while the engine is out?

This is my first PWC ever and only had for about 3 weeks before she shit the bed. Thanks for everyones help.

I'm no expert but usually when your engine blows up its caused by running lean (not enough oil in the gas). I would check to make sure the oil injection is working and adjusted to factory specs. If you become a premium member you can download the shop manual and it will break it all down for you.

Dont get me wrong the previous owner could have beat the p!ss out of it too

Yes, SBT... I blew my 720cc a few weeks ago and bought an SBT. The engine arrived in two days with standard shipping and I had it in the very next day. I am very happy with the motor so far, and it comes with a fault-free warranty (1-2 years depending on witch package you buy).

Another thing, Its a core exchange. And you said it blew a hole in the block, that will cost extra because they will have to patch the block up

I went with the premium... It's an extra 200, but you never know, that extra year might save your butt from spending another 1000...

The standard package doesn't come with a break-in quart of oil or installation gaskets, so if you go that way, make sure to get those
