I noticed a pinhole leak on the upper part of my exhaust. I can’t seem to get the exhaust out in one piece, I’ve always avoided splitting the 2 pieces of exhaust because I’ve read that it’s difficult to put them back together without leaking? What would be recommended, splitting the pipe or removing the exhaust manifold to get it out? I have a spare exhaust to put in while I’m getting the other one welded but I don’t know if the Welch plugs are good on it or not, it was never a runner for me. Is there a way to test the Welch plugs before putting it in? I was thinking of capping both ends of the exhaust with some inner tube or my block or plate, putting a few pounds of air in and spraying it with soapy water? Where is everyone getting there Welch plugs?
