951- garden hose

Just finished a rebuild on a 1999 XP and wanted to hook it up to the garden hose and run it a little before going all the way to the lake.

Any downside of doing this? How much pressure would you need on the hose? Half open?

Just enough that water is coming out the air vent pisser,,,

Really no reason to do that.
If you do you can only run it for a minute or two or the driveshaft seal will overheat.
Always make sure the engine is running before you ever turn the water on. then turn the water off and very last turn the engine off. You never want the hose on with the engine off.
