The winter project is over! Late last summer I picked up a 95 XP for $300 from a local kid….the ski had been neglected but was itchin for a project. Rebuild included:
New rebuilt crank. Top end w. WSM pistons (I know not the best but within budget) Full Bore did the bore work. I compared local pricing but as we know the rebuild shops offer off season price breaks.
Rebuilt carbs w. Mikuni kit plus new fuel lines & selector, pulled fuel and oil tank and cleaned and pressure tested.
Hand sanded and polished the hull, had to do some gel coat repair (thanks jammin777) added new BT traction mats.
New wear ring, replaced the seat cover & rebuilt the starter
Last weekend I cranked it for the inaugural start. Fired right up ……Brwrappppp! I was tickled. Can’t wait to get on the water to begin the break-in.
Thanks to all the forum members that provided support during the rebuild.
Thought I’d share some pics of another Seadoo saved.
Searching for the next project :)

Wow great work! It's definitely worth five times the buy in price now(at least). The 95XP is such a good model also. The performance and reliability are great even by today's standards. In my opinion the ski you just made is better then a new 5 thousand dollar Spark(7 thousand haha). Your gonna love that ski. The pump extension makes a big difference for top speed and turning/trim response.

good job rob! very nice! i plan on taking mine out for the first time this year next friday. have fun breaking her in.:)
mine should run right after replacing the fuel pressure regulator. it was shot.

Thanks guys...it was a fun winter project. Was hoping to get out today but the damn storm Ana changed those plans.

Kevin - I wish you well on Friday. I know it was a trying summer for you last year. Glad to hear that you got the issue resolved.

The 95 XP was my dream machine when i was kid. I would go to the dealer and just look at it. I use to know all the tech specs off the top of my head. Great work PGHMAN the seadoo looks like it is in the same condition as the ones i use to drool over. Well still drooling over the photos

Lol Go Pirates. The colors on that ski are a good match for the ECU colors.
