So, I have been working on restoring my 95 XP since December now and I'm about done. I still am yet to figure out a solution to the handlebar pad. I would like to keep it something close to OEM, but not break the bank. I don't wanna spend $100+ on a moldy old crusty handlebar pad on eBay, but I also don't wanna run a set of bike handlebars. Any advice is very much appreciated.

I made my own.....used some "stretchy" vinyl. Strip off the old pad cover, let the vinyl heat up in the sun (or use a heat gun to strategically soften the areas where you need to mold the vinyl), SS staples (I use a pneumatic staple gun). Only took about an hour or so....pretty easy.....we were changing the color palette on the ski so we customized the pad color to match.
