Hello all. I'm new to the forum and to jet skis, but I hope I can garner an education from the experts. I'm a DYIer and have worked on small engines and car engines so I'm not totally helpless. The ski has been sitting for approx. 7 years. Long story short. I got new battery (fully charged it), rebuilt carbs and starter and got the engine to turn over. Removed and cleaned fuel tank and replaced all fuel lines. Tried to turn over the other day and all I got was a light click from the front electrical box. It sounds as if a relay is kicking in and then shutting off. Have to wait approx. 10 seconds before I can get it to click again. I've opened up both electrical boxes and checked the fuses, all are good. Also replaced the starter solenoid. There's momentary resistance in the starter switch when I hit the start button, but then it goes to zero after the relay (?) turns off. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.

It does, but the beeper appears to have been been disconnected or is not working. The ski has been modified slightly. It was used to race. No oil pump. They used premixed fuel apparently. Thanks.

You really need to get the beeper working. Sounds like it’s waking up but not recognizing the lanyard.

Funny thing is, it's never worked and it ran great until we left it and it was turning over fine 5 days ago. I'll see if I can get it connected. It may just not be plugged in.
