95 spi low oil light test

I have a 95 spi and am not going to run tank so low that it kicks the light on or hope it goes on. Question is can this light be tested to make sure it actually works. That it lights up and not burned out. I know the wiring to it is the blue/blue n black striped wire. Is it a 12 volt led or bulb? Can i run jumpers from battery to it to see if it will light up? Or is there a different test to perform? Next ill have to test the actual sensor its self.

If you unplug the sender the light should light up, or suck all the oil out and test the entire system at once

Out of curiosity did you drain the tank to check or pull the plug

I pulled the plug i am going to drain the tank tomorrow its just too hot today it was 96 out. Hot for michigan standards. Lol the light came on when i pulled the plug so hopefully it goes on when i drain the tank.

So i drained the tank and light came on! Good deal at least i know it works now.
