Hi all, just bought a 95 speedster. It had been stored for 2 years and I was surprised at how easily it started but I have a question about batteries. The guy I bought it from only had 1 battery and had tied the 2 lines together. Both engines started no problem (though we did only run 1 at a time). Does the ECM require 24V for something? Why are there 2 batteries?

one for each motor...you can modify the trays to install a regualr size marine battery. remove the 2-inner brackets off the tray.

I did the 2 for 1 battery swap. I changed the tray completely,, and had to realy shoe horn the series 24 battery in place, still, the top tie down bracket wouldnt fit,, so the battery just sits in there now,,, bit it's so tight it wont go anywhere. Not my ideal solution,, but i was tired of eating up the smaller batt's.
