Hello,

I need help with trouble-shooting my problem. I have a 1995 Seadoo XP. I am the original owner. I have had the carbs rebuilt and the grey fuel lines replaced with the black lines. I have a new battery. My compression is good. The ski starts fine and can move through the wake zone to open water. After about 30 seconds or less it just dies as if the key was pulled. This ski does not have the DESS. I tested the rectifier by connecting my voltage meter to the battery terminals and revving the motor above 5500 RPM and the number did not go above 15.00. The numbers would stay in the 12 - 13 range. I am ordering a new fuel selector valve to see if that will solve the issue.

If you have had this issue, what solved it?
If you have advice as to how I should approach this problem. Please help.

Thanks

Go through the carbs again possibly? Check that the fuel pump holds pressure. I believe its 4psi or something? Look in the manual to make sure

Had similar issue and it ended up being a clogged fuel filter. Replaced with a larger fuel filter and it now runs like a champ. Love it when it turns out to be a simple fix :) .

Thanks for the note. I will replace my fuel filter because it is easy and inexpensive.
