Hi, I got a 95 seadoo xp with 720 motor, It has been running and off season i let it seat for awhile the battery was dead. I change the battery but i forgot to pull out the key so now it keep blown the 5amps fuse any idea where i can start? Thanks

An accidental reverse of the cables can blow the MPEM diode. VTS modules that fail
can also blow the 5amp fuse. I suggest you unplug the vts just to rule that out. A
fix article is in the how-to section. Bill

I didn't reverse the cables. I just forgot to take out the keys and install battery and now fuse 5A keep blown out and i even disconnect the vts until still blown out any idea? look like my MPEM or CDI is fry huh because everytime i connect the MPEM to the generator its blown the fuse

I have a similiar problem with my 2001 Seadoo GS, with the 720 motor. Was in the water when the machine just died? Has no start, beeping, nothing... Had it towed back to shore and found that the 5A fuse was blown. I've gone thru the machine to try and find a short, but haven't seen anything? Any suggestions ?

May have gotten water in rear box, shorting the system out. But BOTH you guys
may also have battery cables that are internally corroded at the lugs. I usually cut
of the lugs, solder on new lugs & shrink-wrap the cables ends. Try that> Bills86e

Hey thanks Bill, checked the rear box, was full of water and had two wires corroded off... I suspect this is what shorted out my mpem too. I've got Mike from All Things Custom looking at the mpem on Monday for me so wish me luck !!

Now seach for cause. My guess is a bad thru hull bearing/carbone, or Venturi to houseing o-rings, or the Venturi Siphon tubes are missing and you have nothing
beiing suctioned at the bailor boxes on hull floor. The tubes sometimes are not even shown on the micrifishe. Bills86e
