95 seadoo xp dess post?

This is kind of weird but I saw on a youtube video that a guy wired a seadoo dess post to a 95 seadoo xp and I was wandering if that is hard or expensive, I just thought that was cool.

A DESS post will only work on a ski with a MPEM that is compatible with the DESS post. It's not something you can just add.

Ok thx, he must of put a new mpem in then, just thought that was interesting.

The black wire and black with yellow on the DESS post connect to the center and ring on the post. When you put any DESS key on the post it connects those two wires just like a spring loaded switch. The white/grey wire is the code wire that wouldn't be used in this setup. You have to cut a larger hole in the deck for a DESS post so it would require thin washers that won't rust to use the original spring loaded style again.
