Hi all tried searching this, didn't find much. Get the feeling this is probably a dumb idea and l I really should only be worrying about one project at a time, but trying to at least set my plans up and decide what I can save and what I can get rid of in my pile of parts and hulls.
I have a 94 SPI that I rebuilt. Also got a hold of a 95 XP hull. Hull is empty, just the water box, steering and front hood. Harness, ebox, engine, carb, pipe, driveshaft, pump all gone. But the hull seems to be very clean.
I'm not completely certain, but believe everything from my SPI should fit into this hull except maybe the aluminum pump, but I have a spare plastic X4 pump from my 96 XP build. Is it worth it to save the X4 XP hull by putting the 587 parts in? Is the handling that much better? Won't cost me much other than time.
