I just rebuilt the carb with an oem carb kit, has new fuel lines from a few years ago new battery and good spark plugs. Starts with starting fluid then dies but I pulled the fuel lines off the carb and just a couple drops came out and the plugs were dry. so I’m suspecting no fuel. What is the best way to confirm this? What is the possible problems? Thank you! anything helps![emoji1303]

First, stop using starter fluid, it does not contain enough lubricants for a 2 stroke engine.

Start by tracing the lines and make sure they are all routed properly. Also, the fuel selector is know to draw air if it has not been replaced or has been replaced with after market.

Check to make sure the o-ring is present and good in the water separator/filter.

That is a free things to s start with.

Yeah I just used one spray to confirm it was a fuel issue. All the lines are routed properly and I cleaned the selector valve. And yes the o ring is good. I’m thinking I might have the carb adjustments off.. my shop manual says 1 1/4 turns out for low speed and it doesn’t specify where the high speed screw is supposed to be. I also need to adjust the idle when I get it running. Could it be the high speed screw? Where is it supposed to be set at?

You can't "clean" the selectors, they get old, suck air and need to be replaced.
