Yes. Find another shop. Unless you left other maintenance being done on it out of
the equasion. Have you read that you can just clean it? Click on the seadoowarehouse link to see microphiche of the carburetor broke down.
Then fine tune it.: http://www.seadoosource.com/carbadjust.html
Being careful when disassembling not tearing the diaphram, clean the micro-filter in there, spray grit out with carb cleaner, carefully re-assemble.
I had been quoted 300 and 350 so it sounds ok to me. I bought rebuild kits for mine and they where $55 each needing 2 so thats almost half. it is a bit of a pain to reach inside these to work so it takes a while. I have a pair of 97 GTX's that I am trying to get wright.
thanks guys, I just got this so I'll let them rebuild it and work on it myself in the future, I just want to get it out on the water for this summer before it ends. I'll work on it myself before I put it back on the water next summer.
Whatever shop you use, its worth a few extra bucks for lake test-final tuning.
If ya take to a shop off the ski, they put OEM kit, needles/seats & pop-off test
is about 90-100 bucs a carb. Lake test = 35.
