Spent 6 hours today removing the motor and pump. 1 hour for the motor and 5 for the original jet pump. Lamo. Dam Silicone and one corroded stud. I did the 2x4 trick with bolts and ratchet strap. With no luck. I loaded the bolts with pb blaster and 3 in 1 oil for 2 days straight. And it didn't want to budge. I was about to give up then I took my bobcat zeroturn backed it up and used my Ratchet strap and looked it up to the bobcat and also ratchet the trailer to my metal beam and she finally came loose. After cursing it out for 5 hours

I picked up two of them about a month ago. Working on them one at a time, first time doing anything like this but very excited to see how they turn out. I paid 300 with trailer for them so not risking much if I completely mess them up. Good luck and look forward to the updates.

best of luck send some pictures

Had a little time today. Cleaned the oil and fuel tank. Got it pretty clean. I am letting the tanks sit over night with dawn dish soap and water. To clean the inside. Any other ideas?

Check and see if your fuel tank recall has been done, they will replace it for free, just call brp and give them your vin number

Happy to see an old machine get the TLC it deserves to bring out it's potential instead of rotting away under a tree.

Keep sending us pics of the progress.

Don't mess things up, call us.

Don't cut any corners, get frustrated or throw them away. There is enough help here to walk you through things and we enjoy seeing other people get their DOOs up and running.

Ok ladies and gents I finally got the pro off with propane torch and a little banging

now the I am trying to remove the prop from the jetpump and it will not budge. I tried 6 days of pb blaster and Nadda. Any recommendations?

Well you put the bottom of it in a vice and get a big breaker bar with the impeller removal tool and just go at it, it will be next to impossible to do it without a breaker bar

Replace the grommet at the bottom of the oil tank that the elbow goes into, if you can. They often slow leak and make a gigantic mess inside the sea doo you're cleaning up.

GTX Oil Tank Leaking

Tip for the future. Don't loctite the impeller on and only snug things down with a breaker bar. The impeller is being spun into the shaft when the machine is running, I have never seen one come loose. It makes future maintenance a lot easier.

OSD recommends anti-seize.
