Hey Guys
I'm a newby with a 93 SP. Ran great for 5 days, then when my 16 yo son was riding, made a "weird noise" and stopped. Tried to restart when the high temp alarm sounded followed my smoke. Turns out that both high water tubes melted/burned off (from the top of the block and exhaust manifold). Motor doesn't seem to be hurt as it actually starts and runs how. We flipped it over and there is no intake grate on the machine - looks like it fell off.
Any ideas? Did we suck in some crud and block the cooling lines? It was spitting water out the back like it's supposed to not too long before the meltdown. Also, does high temp interupt the ignition? I don't know why it quit and wouldn't restart when hot.
Thanks kindly for your help
