93 sea doo gtx wont go above 3000rpm help!

hi guys...first post here.
When i usually have a problem with my pwc i type it in google and get an answer, and most of the time its from this site. I joined because i couldnt find an answer to my question.

Well i have a 1993 seadoo gtx and this season its been giving us major problems. My dad and i have solved most all of them except that when the seadoo is on land it can rev all the way to 7000 rpm. but when we go to the lake it wont go past 3000rpm. what do you guys suggest we do first?

pull the filler neck off the tank and look for a crack in it that happened to mine. I was experiencing the same thing out of water would rev up but as soon as there is a load on her she wouldnt go for s*** lol! I plugged up the crack and she went like a bat outta hell! well until the gas ate through the glue I used then it did the same thing again lol! ... Im told its a recall so i have a call into my dealer to find out forsure hope that helps ya

I had this exact same problem. Clipped the plug wires back 1/4 inch and put the boots back on. Installed some new properly gapped plugs and it ran like a bat out of hell.

no load on pump from lake, will allow anything to rev to limiter, until in the lake. Think the carbs need attention
