I have a 92 XP that is a work in progress. It sat for a couple of years before I got it. I have had the carbs professionally rebuilt, dumped all the old gas, replaced the fuel filter and it still will not rev up. It starts fine, but when I give it throttle it dies. If I feather the choke I can get it to run, but its hard to drive with one hand and play with the choke with the other. The fuel lines have been replaced with black ones and I have bypassed the fuel selector valve. Sounds like fuel, but I don't know what else to try. Compression is 120 on both cylinders.

have u checked the spark plugs ? when they rebuilt your carb did it get re adjusted ? when i rebuilt my carb last year there was a tiny peice of crap in one of the little holes in the carb that caused it to act much like what your talking about

Thanks for the replies.
I picked up new plugs for it today. I don't think there is a rev limiter on it. On the trailer it will rev up to 6000rpm before I get scared and shut it down. I put a new o ring on the intake manifold yesterday and will take it to the lake tonight to try it. If it doesn't work I guess I'm tearing into the carbs again.
