What is required to install a 92 xp manual vts cable set up on an x4 hull. Would I need to cut a hole for the knob? Can I convert it to a lever?

I was originally looking for a 96 hx system with the knob at the back, but I found a 92 set up locally. I think I like the 92 set up better since it can be adjusted on the fly, where as with the hx system you need to get off to adjust it, or stop and reach back.

I just need confirmation on where I would put the knob, or if it's easy enough to go with a lever, and if there are any additional parts that I need to buy to retro fit it.

The knob fits where your fuel valve is now. The diameter on that on old system is much smaller so the X4 VTS hole is gonna be way to big. I'm sure you could rig something up though. I have that system on an old 90 model.

Oh ok, ya when I was looking at pictures the knob looked very similar to a gas cap.

So other than figuring out how to seal the bigger hole, it should be straight forward install?

You have to mount the fuel selector in a new place. Why not just get "the trim fix" or Google dei 451 vts seadoo.
