I have a 92 seadoo sp and it’s hard to start back up after riding it and letting it sit for a bit. We ride it in the water and go back to the beach to hang out and when among it back out it’s takes forever to get it started. Battery is good but ends up getting low cuz of the attempts it takes to get it turned on. Any ideas? Just replaced the starter solenoid on it cuz it went out last trip.

Carb rebuild with only genuine Mikuni parts and new needles and seats.
What’s the compression?

If the fuel system and carb have been serviced and rebuild correctly then I would move the checking the rotary valve clearance.

If the battery power is there (and you indicate that it is when you are trying to re-start it, until you wear out the battery)...as MIKI has pointed out.....first thing is the carbs......

The engine needs FAST (fuel, air, spark & timing) to get going....you got Air, Spark....need to rule out Fuel & Timing......

What's interesting is that I assume she's good to go COLD (starts OK off the trailer) , but then is balky when Warm......that sorta rules out Fuel (but not entirely)....and the timing wouldn't/shouldn't change that quickly (if at all)

Just for S&G's, crack open the gas cap while trying to restart after a rest.....if the fuel tank isn't venting, she could vacuum lock, the vent(s) could be compromised...it's a easy/simple enough test....just a thought

Yes usually it takes 3-4 times cranking to start it up cold off the trailer. But then runs good the entire time I’m out. Battery is good unless towards the end of day. Lol I will try the gas tank cap next time I’m out.

I'm with Miki, excessive rotary valve clearance will cause extremely difficult hot startups...I went through 2 starters many many years ago on my 1st ever seadoo 580,,untill an experienced racer suggested the rotary valve clearance, best $50 I spent on a seadoo motor. And also rule out any possible compression issues.
