The water flow (pressure) regulator on my 96 XP is leaking.

I followed the FSM directions and looked up info on here on how to take it apart and clean it up. I found that the bellows have a small hole in it and the clamp is completely rotted away.

Does anyone have a way to patch the hole? Do I have to get a whole new regulator? Can I just order the bellows and clamp?

hey guys, I'm having the same problem. I got a 96 GTX 787. i started it a few days ago, with the hose, and noticed it was leaking water from the water pressure regulator. I took the regulator apart and noticed the spring inside was broken. Any ideas how that could happen???...also the clamp, clamping the bellow, was rotted away. I ordered new spring and clamp, should be here in a few days. But of course i couldnt wait and just cleaned up the regulator and put in a similar spring that i had (I kno, I kno..bad idea). took the ski to the lake and ran it, appeared fine no leaks. ran the ski for about 10min and noticed the exhaust was getting hot (really hot, sizzeling) so i parked it...im not a ski mechanic but im going to assume the regulator wasnt opening up to cool the exhaust (thats what the regulator does correct??) anyways the engine itself didnt over heat water was still running throught he heads and they were cool. i guess ill wait for the parts.
