Having trouble with my Rave valves I have a 99 GX and it keeps burning up the#2 rave valve haven't been able to get a straight answer on the problem I've been told that it could be the housing being worn out I've gone through 3 last year and have to start this year out with a new one too can anyone please help thanks

When you say burning up are you talking about the plastic internals melting? If so if you have purchased 3 housings and they are still melting that the stem on the valve itself may be worn. That was what my problem was as well as the housing. Just make sure if you get a new rave you shave it down. Not doing that cost me the new rave and the top end of my motor.

I am interested in this as well as I have two rave valve skis. I checked my cylinders before my last rebuild and was wondering with the internal measurement specs would be for the rave valve slot.

On super high our shis it is technically possible for the cylinder slot to wear but typically it is the valve and housing that cause the melting. They should be replaced together if they continue to melt.
