(Newbie) I have 1996 gtx 787.The water regulator was leaking(replaced bellows). When 15 mins. and burn hole in hose between cone pipe and muffler. Pretty well read every post on this topic .Did all the things like, checking for blockage, hoses are in the right place on regulator, blew air through all lines, took regulator apart to check ,all looks fine . I get about 0.5 gal. out of hose from regulator to the jet at the head pipe (tuning) at full throttle. Cone pipe will get 280 F and muffler will stay around 100 f. The only way to keep Cone pipe cool is to bypass the regulator .I read that engine damage could happen by doing this, has anybody done this with success

Sure sounds like something is up with your regulator. You can hard jet the circuit but it will plug with debris really easy.

If you have checked every hose and fitting I would suggest replacing the regulator as they can go bad and the housings don’t seal.

Yes i though of that, i seen pic. of the regulator apart ,but my washer and feeding block stay in the housing ,and i get 0.5 gal and the manual calls for 0.4,just cant understand

Well ,took regulator of and was able to get feeding block out to check if holes where lined up and sure enough they were not. Put it back together made sure hole in feeding block was lined up with water inlet. That solved it, exhaust stays around 150 f. so somehow feeding block got turn a little maybe when i first took out feeding rod without holding exhaust value
