looking at this photo it shows the flush port. at the back my the jet
the water flow show water flows out this port but seems flushing on the hose would force the water backwards? am I seeing this wrong?

You really don't need to use that. If you look to the left of your pump you will see a tube that is about 6" long that is threaded. You can hook a garden hose right to that and just back flush the system. Only the GTS has the flush T since that doesn't use the pump support in 97.


Look in the lower left bubble marked GTI, you'll see the tube. You can use a quick disconnect, but I personally don't leave it on the ski. I don't want to restrict the water flow under normal operation

Yes, the flushing is done thru outlet hose.

Thus it is called "back-flushing"

Remember the sequence: engine on, water on, water off, engine off

Flushing intentionally pushes the water backwards. This is so that it will "flush" things out that may be trapped instead of pushing them deeper into the system..
