Hi all. I have a 97 gsi seadoo i'm working on. I'm wondering if i get all the electronics from the 800 engine,if i could use this engine? If anybody can tell me what else i would have to do would be appreciated. I was told engine and electronics! Thank you.:seeya:

SOmewhat sure, that back mounts in the hull, are usable, but you'll have to "glass" in the, single front mount.

Thank you seadooya! I was unaware that there was only one front mount. So other then that, i can take all the electrical out of the 717, and replace all electrical with the 800? And obviously use my 800 motor lol. Thank you.

I don't want to be a downer, but I would advise against putting anything other then the stock engine in your craft. It's usually a better idea to just buy a ski with the larger engine. It can be done (and I've suffered through it myself), but it's never worth it. If you have a seeming limitless amount of patience (and money) go for it. Good Luck, Devon.

Thank you pc. I know it is easier to buy a ski with a bigger motor but, it's the point of just modding this one knowing it came with 717. It's not about money,it's about doing it for me. Thank you.:seeya:

wannabe tuff guy bully

show'n no grudges, but the "ski" you wanna dump a 787 in, in that same year, they also had a gsx, which is your hull with a 787 in it, so for mounting the front mount, isnt a problem.
