So it appears I will likely be building my engine myself....I am certain I will need a flywheel puller....are there any other specialty tools I will need to disassemble/reassemble? I would like to have everything together instead of figuring out I need something and waiting for it to be ordered. I can’t believe the backlog some of the shops have on these two strokes

thanks!

We will help you get this thing running.

For the 720 engines you can use a standard steering wheel puller for the front flywheel but be really careful with the bolt lengths because if too long you will ruin the stator underneath. For the rear PTO flywheel heat and a chain wrench and it is easier with the engine still in the hull.

You can download the manual for free and follow all the threadlock and grease recommendations except for the case sealant. For the crankcase sealant you want ThreeBond 1184 also sold under the names Hondabond, Yamabond and Permatex Motoseal at Autozone/O'Reilly.

I've bent the heck out of my thin harbor freight puller on my 720 try and find a relatively thick one of possible

You will want good set of metric ratchets with some extensions.

Other than that you will want to buy some decent hose clamps to save you the frustrations of trying to reinstall the clamps that come on the ski. The only place you need to reuse the original clamps or those style of clamps is I'm the PTO flywheel boot

The coolant hoses keep the OEM worm clamps and the Okitier on the PTO boot as Nick Indicated.

On the oil lines and fuel lines you can use the high quality zip ties with the stainless locking tab.
