717 case useability

I have a couple spare 717s I got as part of a deal that i've torn apart and one of the cases has a chunk missing on the left inlet of the rotary area, i guess it's for oil drainage but not sure. The case is about perfect everywhere else. Is this case done?

If it was me I wouldn’t chance it. 720 cases are pretty cheap.
