587 questions

Hi all. Recently picked up what I believe a 1990 Sea doo bombardier gt. It has a 587 yellow motor that’s locked up. I came across a 587 white. Question is will this be a direct replacement ? Yellow to white? I want it to be a simple swap to get it out in the water.

If I remember correctly......I think the carb is different and the electronics.
