Hey Guys... new to 4tec S/C world.... adopted a pair of Seadoo 2004 RXPs with only 24hrs on motors... but sat at the end of a dock for a very long time (sun baked)..... completely going through with S/C rebuild, new Supertech valves and a bunch of other known model issues/concerns and updating.... but trying to get driveshafts out.. got the collar to spin with PB blaster, moved forward, C-clips off..... but the damned bearings at the front stayed on the shaft and pulled out of the rubber boot @ front, and obviously won't allow me to remove. Do I need to soak those in PB blaster overnight as well to wrangle off? Is there a trick to getting those to let go of shaft to pull out through the back? I've had stuck tophats on my 2strokes before where the Orings dried out, and not a problem to fix, but this extra stuck bearing is a new PITA..... Any help or guidance really appreciated......

Just tap them off with a brass punch at the base at the shaft. They will come off pretty easily.

Okay... cool... thanks.... I realize late last night that they are similar to tophat with double Orings, so I better understand how its seized... but I appreciate the feedback :thumbs-up:

It's a much tighter fit than the tophat collar with a light interference fit on the steel. Seadoo makes a special tool to remove it but tapping it back with a flat brass punch works just as well and faster than installing the tool.

Awesome.... really appreciate the added info :thumbs-up:  Continual sticker shock with these 4tecs, but trying to get them done right and reliable long term.....
