How many engine hours should a well maintained, not abused, 4-tech engine be good for?

I don't know what SeaDoo claims as the life span of the 4TEC engine.
I've worked on several that had 400+ hrs and they were running fine with no previous problems. Hope this helps,

Now that's a lot of money spent on gas. I wish I had 2000 hours available to operate my RXP in the last 2 years!!

The 4-Tec haven't been out long enough to get more than 2000 hours.

One i saw was forsale and advertised with 2000hrs..... only thing that the guy said was rebuilt was the supercharger, said he did it more times then he could remember.....

Check around some other forums...I am sure you will find some with high hours. I live in Canada so my riding season isn't that long so I haven't seen many high hour skis....I have seen 400 on a GTX thats about it!

If i lived in florida you couldnt pry me out of my boat :cheers: I NEVER miss a weekend in the warmer months. But for advice on buying one I myself would not buy one with over 100hrs. 500 i would concider high and 2000 extreme. But Im sure they will have a long long life if well maintained. Ski-doo have a 4-tec in there sleds and they get LOTS of hrs/miles put on them.
