3 wire to 5 wire tach

I bought a pretty beat up 1996 xp with a smashed hood. The guy I bought it from gave me spare hood to replace the busted one. The spare hood came with the 3 wire tach but the ski Is wired for the 5 wire tach. I have the harness that has the single grey signal wire in it but obviously no where to plug it in. Can it just be ran to the mpem and wired in somehow? Thanks

Nevermind, I just looked at my other 96 and realized it has a speedo not a tach. Guess I need a speedo, not sure what year of xp or spx this hood came from.
