Hey everyone names Kris, SO the story goes I traded my sand rail for two jet skis a 95/96 kawasaki sts and a 96/97 seadoo gti ( I dont know the official years because reg says 96 for the kawi and 97 for the seadoo) how ever when I got down into the hull ( both skis had no spark) both ski's plug wires said the prior year. SO I changed out the plugs, wires, and caps. Now specifically onto the seadoo I cleaned the carb, new plugs, wires, caps, she ran solid for two days but now the boat is starting to bog down at 3/4 throttle. I can feather it through the dead spot but I would rather fix it. Now for the negatives on the seadoo the boat still has the grey fuel lines and the fuel gauge is dead, as well I live at 8000 ft so what does everyone think I know I need to set the idle screws but what would be the best setting, as well would changing the fule lines greatly improve performance or just save my carb? Also when riding on a rough day she tops out at about 40 with one rider, on the gauge i know its a knot meter but is that normal speed or should she be pushing more. Impeller looks solid as well as the housing, drive shaft and all seals. Any and all advice and knowledge is appreciated. as for the KAwasaki sts after about 10 mins of wot ( only two rides) the boat has no spark I managed to dig out the old plug wires but kept the old ignition/cdi should I buy a new one or start with testing the magneto/stator. I already tried new plugs, wires, caps on the kawasaki just havent bought a new cdi.
