Hi all, I have a 2000 GTX with a 787 RFI motor that I am replacing the oil lines on. I have all the lines replaced except for the (2) 3/32 lines that go from the pump to the throttle body. I can't seem to figure out how to remove them. There is no clamp on them and when I tug on the lines they are firmly fixed to the fittings.

The fittings look like some type of quick connect tube fitting, but I could be completely wrong. The fittings look OEM original, with paint all over them and the lines. I did search and everything I come across says remove the clamp and use a pick on the line, but there is no clamp and the lines seem to go INSIDE the fitting.

Here is a picture of the oil pump and lines. The red arrow points to part of the fitting that is hard, the blue arrow points to the soft line that goes into the ferrule like part of the fitting. The visible part of the line had paint on it that cracked and fell off when I wiggled the lines.

A little below your Red arrow, they're are small thin sheet metal clamps. Just use a thin flat blade screwdriver from the top down and skip it between the house and metal, then twist. Same on both ends. Then use small cable ties to hold the new ones on.

You can use a quality small zip tie to install the new ones. Also dont forget to run some premix to the carbs while you hold the oil pump wide open with your hand. This will force oil into the lines faster and to the engine ;)

I always slide those collars up with a small screwdriver and then they are re-useable.

Be a man and use your fingernails Chester, LOL:cheers:. Just kidding but they are easy to slide up by hand if you can catch the lower edge.
