Ok so my brother in law has a fuel injected gtx 2001 he changed the fuel filters and when he put it back together the fuel pump wasn’t working. He bought a new pump and still not working. I tested voltage at pump last weekend and it has 12.7 volts but if I hooked up new pump nothing same with old pump. He had bought an aftermarket pum so I just figured it was junk and bad out of the box. He ordered another pump from the fuel pump factory and just called saying it didn’t work again. Does the pump have to be submerged to work? I’m at a loss it is getting power at the plug that plugs into the filter. I know he should have went with oem pump but you would think it would pump if it is getting power. Am I missing something?
