So I am at 14 volts on meter at idle and if I rev it up to 6-8 grand it drops to 10 volts. It seems to charge at lower speeds and does not affect top end performance. Spend the day on the lake and only when I run it near wide open for a period of time I get a low voltage warning.

So bad battery, regulator, stator? Something else to look for? Anybody else see this issue, dealer hasn’t.l?

Historically speaking....if you don't see a fairly steady voltage of 13.5 or better on the battery at idle maybe a little higher with higher RPM's...that usually is pointing at the Rectifier/regulator not functioning properly.

The R/R takes AC voltage from the stator and converts it to DC voltage for the running ski (giving voltage to the ignition coil for SPARK, etc) and to keep the battery charged for the next start cycle.

If your voltage is dropping...chances are pretty strong that the R/R is going/gone (not functioning properly). R/Rs are not obscenely expensive to replace.....

It is weird that is looks like it is behaving normally at idle (14V) but then loses it at higher RPM's.....It's either the R/R or possibly something in the MPEM (just wagging (wild ass guessing) on that though)
