2014 engine in 2006 GTX

I have a 2006 GTX base with a blown piston. Has broken valves and head is damaged. I wouldn't trust the crank shaft either. I found a complete 2014 running 155 engine with ECU.
My understanding is the engine will drop into the 2006 ski. Is the ECU compatible with the gauges and any other electronics, or should I just use the engine while maintaining all of my existing wiring and ECU?

Thanks!

Yes, engine will drop in without any modifications. Much easier to keep all of your electronics and use your old ECU. New ECU will require the new cluster and wiring which is possible but quite a bit of work.

Might not have a choice. ECU for that year and engine are like finding a unicorn that craps skittles.

You can always get a new ECU from the companies that reflash that specific program to a used ECU like Torx Racing.

I am only going by what I have read, but there are some real nightmare stories out there about Torx Racing. Not just a few either. Don't think those guys will be an option. Already contacted Westside, but no luck there.
