Ok.. So I am looking for a ski.. At first I didn't really care much about year.. I just wanted new w/ warranty.. I was looking at some new 08 and 09 models to try and get some savings but thinking of going with a newer 2011 model to have the brake and all that... I am just curious if anyone has the 2011 GTI 130 and has some first hand knowledge.. I am looking for a ski that is gonna be a nice cruiser but also want something that will take turns nice and be able to have some fun with.. I have read that top speed is 55-60.. But how fast do you get there? Are the 130's fast out of the hole? I don't have a huge amount to spend on the ski and it will be secondary to my boat.. Just wanted to grab something that will be fun to take out, be able to pull a tube if i need it to and be able to whip around.. I am not a small guy and neither are most of my friends.. I am about 250ish and my friends are all 200+ so i would need a ski that could pull a tube with that kind of weight..

Also is it worth the extra money to get the 155??

Ive got the 130 SE 2011.

Its got plenty of power to pull tubes and wakeboarders. Ive had two people on the ski and two people on a tube.

The 155 is just a tuned version of the 130, its not worth the grand extra. The most you get out of the 155 is like 1-2 MPH top speed. Low end torque off the start is very similar for both.

Yea I wasnt sure how much extra power you really would feel between the two.. Now.. Is it worth the money to get the SE over the base 130? I think its like a 600 difference.. By the way.. What did you pay for yours?? I got a quick quote of 8399 plus tax and reg for the SE 130.. I don't think that includes the trailer though..

Ive got a friend with a pair of 2009 GTI SE 130's. I know they arent exactly the same, but just my observation. They are great skis for just the average person to play around on. They get around good and have plenty of power. They hit 57ish on the speedo. The SE is worth it in my opinion. It adds the boarding step and on the 2011's , looks like a few other things like the variable VTS. Looking at the seadoo site, the new models look like great skis really.

I too have been thinking of getting a pair of skiis....my wife and I did a demo ride on the GTX 155's and to be honest I really liked it, thought the handling and power was sufficient and really liked the I Control options, but then when going through Craigslist I see some half decent deals for used skiis...don't know if I should save some money and buy used or get new with a warranty!! There is a dealer in E-Bay that has a few 2010 GTX 155's listed for $9899.00!! When we demo'ed them last spring they were priced at $12,900!!

price

I payed 9,500 for my GTI SE 130, 2011 model comes in viper red. Its really sexy, and all the IBR functions are a must have.

Only complaint is the stupid Maintence light that came on after 10 hours.

Is that out the door including taxes and a trailer??

bought a 2011 gti se 155 2 months ago, i love it , it has a ton of power and handles pretty well. It does not handle as good as my 02 gtx but good enough. paid $9999 for it , dealer took $600 off price. $10600 out the door with tax and setup fees. haven't tried pulling a tube but sure it will pull it without any issue. It has 9 hours so far and not looking forward to the break in service required to have done at dealer for $200.

What is your tax rate? So ski, trailer, taxes, reg, all fees was 10k out the door? for a 2011 gti 155 se?

Wife and I just bought a pair of 2011 155hp GTI-SE's in Arizona for $21,100. Bottom line, out the door. Dealer gave us vests, tow rope, and a Tube. The trailer was $1300. The 'Doos were 9900 a piece out the door. They gave me $3000 for our old 1998 GTX Limiteds We test rode the 130hp boats, lots of fun. The 155 seemed to have enough extra POP to us to warrant the additional 900 bucks apiece. Very comfortable, lots of fun!

Well I am going on vacation in a few days and wont be back till the end of august.. So I might hold out and just wait and grab it in the off season.. I am willing to throw down 2500 cash and max I want to finance is 8000.. I have really good credit and think I should be able to get a loan for 8k for about 5% interest.. I am gonna try and save some extra cash and see what I can do.. The 130 or 155's will probably be more then enough for me considering i never owned a ski before.. but if i can save enough cash between now and when i buy the ski I might grab an older model gtx limited..

Not sure what the laws are in NJ, but Arizona and California are getting very restrictive with 2 cycle motors. One of the reasons we sold the 1998 gtx Limiteds. Very fast and maneuverable boats, they just had a zillion hours on them.

Good Luck!
